Jason was born to Kenneth Charles Markley and Carol Marie Dolce April 20, 1980 in Pitts- burgh, Penn- sylvania. He is predeceased by his father Ken- neth. He is survived by his wife, Pam Markley, his young children, William, Cora and Charles, his mother Carol Dolce of Flor- ida, Stepmother Kathy Huc- zko, brothers David Markley of North Carolina, Jonathan Markley of Florida, and sisters Crystal Markley of Florida and Nicole Markley of Louisiana. Jason had many passions in this life, the foremost being his loving wife and children.

Jason had a passion for green engi- neering and green drive tech- nology. He had a big heart, loved and gave gener- ously of his time and talents to whoever had a need. He loved to live fully and enjoyed bik- ing, hiking and anything active outdoors. He enjoyed sharing these passions with his wife and his children. He was an ac- tive participant in Crosspointe Church, and to charities im- portant to him including The WHY Project, a joint venture of Crosspointe Church and the YMCA in which the church is taking on the responsibility of raising the necessary funds to design and build a state-of-the- art YMCA on property owned by Crosspointe.

A visita- tion will be held Tuesday, October 25 from 5-7PM at Good Hope Baptist Church, 6628 Good Hope Church Rd, Cary, NC 27519. The family requests that friends attending the visitation bring a written memory of Jason that will be placed in a keepsake box by which his children will remem- ber him for years to come. If one does not bring a written memory, there will be an op- portunity to do so at the visi- tation. An open-air memorial ser- vice will be held at Wake Me- morial Park, 7002 Green Hope School Rd, Cary, NC 27519 on Wednesday, October 26 at 11AM. A native of John- ston County, he is the son of the late L.T. and Elena Al- len Thompson. A US Army veteran, he was the founder of Thompson Cab- inet Shop and several other entrepreneurial endeavors.

As a business man Thurman was a dreamer, a doer, and a visionary. As a family man he was loyal, kind, and Loving. As a Christian he demonstrated an unwavering faith and a commitment to Jesus Christ. There are no words to describe what meant to his fam- ily. We will fondly on all the wisdom and love that he shared with us each and every day.

We will miss him so much but there is comfort in the fact that he is now at peace. Funeral service will be Mon- day at 2:00 pm at Fellowship Baptist Church. She was a natu- rally gifted pianist and shared her remarkable talent with her family and community through- out her life. At 11 years of age, she regularly accompanied her congregation at the First Baptist Church of Tarboro and won a talent competition at the Tarboro Opera House as the pianist for her six-year-old sis- vocal solo.

In high school, in addition to serving as the pi- anist for school assemblies and special events, she was known for her athletic accomplish- ments in basketball, track and swimming. She graduated from Virginia Intermont College in 1940, receiving a degree in mu- sic and earning membership in Phi Beta, a fraternity dedicat- ed to women who excelled in the of music and the arts. An accomplished pianist and organist, she accompanied her sister, Ethel Laughlin Casey, soprano, at the national meet- ing of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Wash- ington, DC in 1972. She shared her joy of music with scores of young people in Roanoke Rap- ids, teaching piano lessons for over 20 years. She served as or- ganist and leader in the music ministry of Rosemary Baptist Church for over 50 years.

Each week she the sanctuary with the sounds of her beau- tiful interpretation of hymns and classical masterpieces, enriching the lives and the faith of multiple generations of Rosemary Baptist members. She was a devoted and valued member of the Rosemary Bap- tist Church and the Roanoke Rapids community for more than 60 years. She was well known for her love of nature and gardening and for sharing gifts from her garden with her family and friends. Most of all, she taught us how to love one another. She taught us that to love is to joyfully to serve your family, your church, your nation and your neighbors.

She taught us that to love is to consciously and consistently consider the other feelings, point of view and love is about giving, forgiving and accep- tance. She taught us all those things about love because she loved us in all those ways. Funeral services will be at the Rosemary Baptist Church in Roanoke Rapids, NC at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 25, 2016. She is sur- vived by her husband, Nicho- las Wag- ner III and their four children, Susan Wagner and Sandra Wagner of Ra- leigh, Christopher and Renee Wagner and 3 grand- children of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Laura Wagner Francisco, her husband Troy and 2 grand- children of Wilmington, DE, and her brother, William Ger- ald Thornton and family of Ra- leigh, NC. She was preceded in death by her father, Police Chief W. R.

Thornton and her mother, D. Myrle Pope Thornton Lock- erman, both of Clinton, NC. Barbara was born on Sep- tember 25, 1938 in Clinton, NC. She graduated from the College of UNC (now UNCG) in 1960 with a degree in Business Education and French. She and her husband initially lived his hometown, York, PA, and moved to Ra- leigh with their family in 1977.

She was a teacher in the York, PA public schools, at Hale High School (now St. and substituted at Wake County schools in Raleigh. She loved history, collecting antiques, book clubs and she travelled extensively with her husband. Barbara was well thought of and active in her community. She served as the President of the York Coun- ty Association for Retarded Citizens.

She was a member of the York PA Young Club, the Junior League of York and Raleigh, the Club of Raleigh and was a past president of her Questers In- ternational chapter. She also served as a docent at the NC Mansion. She was very social and met and made friends wherever she lived, and she was a loving and caring mother and wife. A memorial service for Bar- bara is scheduled for 2:00 PM, on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Hayes Barton UMC, 2209 Fairview Road, Raleigh, NC 27608 with a reception to fol- low at the church. She will be inturned in the colum- barium.
